Supply List
As Artists, we heavily rely on our trusted tools. Even though these are the tools I use now, I have spent most of my years using student-grade cheaper materials because that’s all I could afford - I still use some cheaper things here are there because it doesn’t matter what you’re using, what matters is what you’re making - and how you use the tools you have. You can use cheaper materials and create masterworks! There’s more beauty in that.
In any case, Below is a list of supplies that I use - You can use cheaper alternative versions of the same materials and it’ll give you similar results:
Paints
My Palette is an extended version of what is known as the Renaissance Palette or the Zorn Palette:
Ivory Black (Rembrandt) or any brand.
Transparent Oxide Red (Michael Harding) You can also use Burnt Sienna instead of this.
Permanent Alizarin (Gamblin) or you can use Alizarin Crimson - it’s the same thing, just different lightfastness.
Cadmium Red (Winsor & Newton or Cadmium Red Deep by Rembrandt)
Cadmium Red Light (Rembrandt) This is my Vermillion substitute - or you can skip this color.
Cadmium Orange (Winsor & Newton OR Rembrandt)
Cadmium Yellow Medium (Rembrandt)
Lemon Yellow (Rembrandt) - not a necessary color, Cadmium Yellow is good enough, this is just a cooler blueish-greenish lighter version that you can mix yourself by adding a hint of ivory black to the Cadmium Yellow.
Titanium White (Winsor & Newton - because their Titanium white is the most opaque and strong white I have found yet - but any Titanium White works)
EXTRA COLORS I ADD WHEN AND IF NEEDED:
Titanium White (Rembrandt - Their Titanium white is more transparent and buttery than Winsor & Newton)
Flake White Replacement (Gamblin - a good substitute to Lead White - Very stringy and good for impasto)
Ultramarine Blue (Rembrandt or Winsor & Newton) If and when I use this, I mix it with yellows to make my greens and I don’t use Viridian.
Viridian (Winsor & Newton or Rembrandt) Occasionally I use this green for convenience.
Canvas
Claessens Linen #13 Double Oil Primed Very Fine Texture Glued on Dibond Panels.
You can also use cheap boards, and Gesso them yourself.
Or, canvas, and gesso that yourself - sand it in between layers to get a smoother surface.
Brushes
Rosemary & Co.

You can also get similar-looking long flat and filbert brushes from any brand that are not too soft and not too hard. Get Bristle brushes and Soft Synthetic brushes if you cannot get the Rosemary & Co brushes.
Solvent
Gamsol
You can also use Linseed Oil to clean your brushes if you want to be Solvent free due to the toxicity.
Easel
Apart from my Studio Easel (You can use any) I use the u.go Plein Air | Anywhere Pochade Box (11"x14.5") with their glass palette that is sold separately. Link
